In situations where they are wearing a long shirt, or a big bulky sweater or sweatshirt that comes down too far I will remove tops as well.

By too far I mean it covers or partially covers their bottom. It is being taken off if that is the case.

Most of the time now, with my little grandkids their tops are short and haven't gotten in the way or been a distraction and when they come off my lap I have a full view of that fire-engine red butt.

There is nothing wrong with spanking completely naked so if that is your preference there is no need to change anything.
