I have had to spank on both birthday parties and holidays. All of my children have earned at least one spanking on their birthday. And all of them, except my oldest, I've had to spank them more than once on a birthday.

I also spanked friends of my children that I had permission with during the birthday parties, as well. Sometimes when helping chaperoning but also when they have misbehaved at my own children's parties, as well.

And my grandchildren have earned a few birthday party spankings. Mostly it's their mothers that have taken care of it. But Grandma has also given a few of them, also.

And like with Andy's spanking this recent Christmas, holidays are not off days for spankings if they are needed. Similar to Mary, I will give an additional warning for special days (including birthdays), but the children need to know that rules and good behavior are still expected as always. And spanking is still very much an option.

I have spanked on all major holidays more than once. Like yourself, Halloween is probably the holiday I've spanked the most on, but Christmas is not far behind. I am probably catching up with Christmas, most of my Halloween spankings were when my children were growing up, or when Andy and Derek were younger, as they happened when taking the kids out for trick or treating. I hadn't spanked on Halloween for about 7 years, not since Andy was 10.

But now that I probably will start taking the grandkids out again, that may change. I actually needed to give my grandson AJ (just turned 7) a spanking this past Halloween for running off while we were out trick or treating. Probably my biggest rule when going out with the kids, to always stay close to Mommy (Grandma) when we go out. Wait until all the kids are done, come back to me, and then we go to the next house.

Instead he ran straight to the next house. So we walked back home, where Grandma paddled his bare bottom soundly over her knee with her hand and wooden spoon. And his trick or treating was done for the night.
