Oh yes, both Ricky and Izzy (Isabelle), my 3 yr old grandchildren, have been receiving proper spankings for almost 5 months now. Paula, my daughter-in-law, started almost 3 months before they turned 3. I gave them their first spankings on Thanksgiving, which was a few weeks later.

But I couldn't agree with you more in how important it is to start spankings at an early age. It's good to start training them early and they are definitely not too young to understand why Mommy needed to give them a sore bottom. All of my children were right around 3 yrs old as well when I started giving them proper spankings over my knee. And it's been much the same for my grandchildren, also.

Lois, both Kathy (12 yr old granddaughter) and AJ have kept my lap consistently busy since the beginning of the school last fall when I began to babysit them after school. But that is why I said in my post, "especially within the last two months in babysitting my twin 3 yr old grand babies" because as you would expect, my twin grandchildren have kept me even more busy with spankings. Which is no surprise for babies their age.

But as my son and daughter-in-law have finished the house now and have moved in, I am not needing to babysit them almost daily any longer. However, with how close they are now, I hope to see them (and babysit the kids) more often. :)

Lois, as I said, I had no regrets on spanking AJ. But it still didn't make me feel just a little bad for him with how much he was looking forward to his birthday party, and for how long. But if I could do it again, I wouldn't change a thing. You are absolutely right that both boys brought their spankings upon themselves with their behavior and they needed that sound lesson.
