I am glad to hear the birthday party went well for James. It's always more fun all the way around when everyone behaves. And only one spanking warning was needed. That's actually quite good when the children are younger. Where there have been plenty of birthdays where spankings haven't been needed, I don't think there has been one where we haven't had to give 2-3 spanking warnings.

Who needed the warning and who gave it?

Samantha, that was a spanking well deserved for Brian. Good for you.

I can't tell you the amount of times I needed to spank for that with my son, and sometimes my daughters, for not wanting to get up in the morning. Usually it was my son for church or school. And like your Brian, he found himself rocking and wincing a lot during the church service. Or was sent off to school rubbing his bottom furiously, wailing "Everyone will knooowww!!" But I just told him he should have thought about that before continuing to disobey Mommy and not getting up.

When he was older, and if I didn't have enough time in the morning, he was promised a spanking when he got home from school.
