Good for you in doing what needed to be done. I am glad stopping spanking worked for you for at least awhile, but I find in those mid-teens years it is normally needed the most.

The way you handled your son's spanking was exactly the right way. Including taking down his underpants. As you said, us Moms have seen it all before and my viewpoint on modesty is it's a privilege for a child, not an expectation, no matter how old they are. And when they misbehave, they lose that privilege, including having their underpants/panties removed. Which is best for a good, hard spanking, anyways. And it also reminds them exactly who is still in charge.

Same in taking them over your knee. That was something my son complained mightily about from about the time he was 12 and up. "Mom, can't you let me lay over the couch/my bed! Going over your knee is so babyish!" But that he hated it so much is one of the reasons 'why' I continued to do so, as well as remind him he would never be too old to be taken over Mommy's knee for a bare bottom spanking when his behavior required it.

Peggy, it's also good you reminded him it was his behavior that brought him here, and most importantly, it can happen again if needed. He really does sound like a good boy, so it may very likely be his last one. However, it's good that he knows the option will remain on the table. The same for your daughter, as well.
