Sonya,

It is no wonder you were so upset by the situation the boys were in. I don't know if I would have handled it as well, but you definitely stayed level headed enough to get them both out of very real and serious danger. Well done lady!

That both boys got their bare behinds spanked in public is one of the least things you should be concerned with. They both got a bit of what they deserved for such dangerous behavior, and when it comes to my kid's safety, there is nothing more important. The worst spankings they have gotten over the years was a result of them ignoring our rules about their safety and thinking they knew better than mom and dad.

I think you did exactly the right thing giving him another bare bottom spanking after his bath. I hope he was crying and carrying on during it. The best way a boy learns. And his father adding to that spanking later that evening showed him you both were in total agreement about how serious his behavior was. I'm not sure my husband would have refrained from using his belt, but I hope your son believed your husband would do exactly as he said if the need arose again.

It also sounds like you've developed a wonderful friendship with another mother that isn't afraid to discipline her son strictly when needed. It's so important to me that my son's closest friends are son's of strict and loving parents. Much less chance of them getting in serious trouble often.

Your comments got me wondering about a couple of things too, if I may ask? Has your husband ever taken the belt to him before for anything? Was your son's friend also having a talk with his father too that evening? We're you aware before this incident that she was a spanking mom too?
