Well Sweetie, when Momma was doing it during the spanking, it was more like scolding as she spanked. The swats would be a little more deliberate to punctuate what she was saying. My usual response was crying louder and apologizing. Honestly, between the sound of her hand or hair brush smacking against my bare bottom and my own crying, I really couldn't make out much of what she was saying anyway. Sometimes, she'd have more to say after the spanking, but I was usually crying and had a hard time hearing that too. I usually went to my room after a spanking from her or Daddy and checked out the damage and then lay on my bed and cried for a little while to get it out of my system. Sometimes either he or she would come back to talk to me about it. No yelling or anything just a talk. Then there would usually be apologies and hugs then all was pretty much forgiven.
