Fortunately Molly didn't ingest much of the hot sauce. I really believe animals know when something is not good for them to eat and the way she was making a fuss every time she took a bite, it was obvious she knew something was wrong.

What Jimmy did was VERY wrong and even though I earlier used the word "cruel," which his ACTIONS were cruel, but I know he didn't have any malicious intent; in his juvenile little mind; he just thought it would be a funny, harmless prank. Well, that little PRANK led to a good SPANK, haha.

Kids make mistakes as they grow up; they ALL do, WE all did...fortunately most have good, responsible parents (and grandparents) who are there to put them back on the right track, to teach them, to guide them, in the hopes of raising them into good, productive members of society. It's just how life works.

I never spanked one of my own children or one of my grandchidren, unless there was a good reason to. I think it's kind of intersting when they believe (using this episode as an example) "Grandma decided Jimmy needed a good, bare fanny spanking." No, JIMMY decided he needed a good, bare fanny spanking! Grandma was just happy to oblige him.

Again, I only hand-spanked his lil white hiney this time, mostly because I could sense his genuine contrition. I do however have a very nice, flat-bladed, rubber-handled wooden spatula I keep in the kitchen junk drawer whose only real purpose for being here, is to smack the bare bottoms of errant children! If Jimmy had given me attitude rather than being remorseful, he would have felt the spatula.

My spatula was last put into use about a year ago on my 11 year old granddaughter, Nichol, as she vigorously wagged her bare "sit upon" back and forth in a vain attempt to escape the smacks of fire. I think she learned that Grandma has had WAY too much experience than to not be able to deliver a proper spanking, regardless of any attempts to minimize or mitigate!
