I really enjoyed how you told this, I can relate to seeing Lucas in his pj bottoms that fit just right, then seeing their bare bottom over our lap, that has always been an enjoyable sight here as well.

I know exactly what you are talking about here and have experienced this, when I knew I would soon be spanking as their behavior was heading towards a spanking but they had not yet done enough to warrant one 'yet' and I did in those times I will say I had a short fuse and keeping my eyes and ears open they would give me that reason.

All my boys over the years have needed frequent reminders concerning their rooms, the boy's bedrooms have been one of the biggest causes/reasons I have had to spank all 3 of my boys. I used to think there was an 'invisibility cloak' over their dirty clothes hamper in their room or the washing machine as their dirty clothes/underpants would be on the floor around it but not in it and they knew that was unacceptable. They were spanked for this when they 'forgot' dirty clothes don't belong under their bed or thrown on the floor.

There have also been times that I thought to myself I waited too long to spank. When one of them was in a bad mood making everyone's day miserable or one would wake up on the wrong side of the bed and had that 'black cloud' over them and would not listen to reason, there were times I would talk with them and waited too long to spank, seeing if they could right their own ship reset their own reset button, but did end up spanking anyway and wishing I hadn’t waited so long.

There were also a few times with my boys years ago when I had to wait until after school to spank one or more of them or they would have all been late. Sometimes we have to wait a day or days, and yes having to wait knowing we will be spanking just builds up the itch even more.
