For your hypothesis to be taken seriously, the experiment has to be repeated at least a 100 times per subject so as to gauge trends. As a scientist yourself, I am rather shocked that you were unaware of this, and probably need a good spanking yourself. Lol.

Paradoxically, spankings do help relax a child, I think. A wrong has been righted. Yes, a very hot sore bottom after a sound spanking over Mom's knee. Yet he/she knows from the cuddles and soothing words after that the spanking was given out of love - albeit as firm parental discipline. Feeling contrite, yet content, the child will relish being tucked into bed by mother. The slate clean and all is right with the world. Off to The Land Of Nod with a clear conscience.

I do think it is very decent of Charlie to volunteer to help Mommy out with her scientific experiments. I suggest a day to recover for the boy before each repeat of the experiment.
