Today I got a call from School. My eleven year old Daughter dropped an "F Bomb" and was overheard by her teacher, and she was sent to the Principal's Office. She was given detention after School today and is supposed to get it the rest of the week too. I was very upset with her and had every intention of giving her a good spanking when she got home. When she walked into the kitchen, I could see she was visibly upset, then became more upset and started crying when she saw the hairbrush on the table. I asked her why she was late getting home and she really burst into tears then knowing she was going to get spanked. She started apologizing profusely for cursing at school. Instead of spanking her right away, I made her sit down and had a talk with her. I wanted her to explain why she acted that way. She was talking about two older girls picking on a younger girl outside, calling her an illegal alien and other vile comments. My daughter told them if they didn't shut the F... up and leave her alone she would kick both their A..... I took my daughter into my arms and hugged her as tight as I could and started crying too. When we both settled down a little, I asked if the other girls got in trouble too and she told me they didn't. She said, since the nobody saw them picking on the younger kid. They really couldn't do anything about it. Which is the typical story when it comes to bullying. Long story short, my daughter and I had a long talk and no, she didn't get a spanking. I let her know how proud I was in spite of using language I don't approve of because her heart was in the right place. I'm going to be going to her School tomorrow to have a meeting with the Principal.
