I think you hit the nail on the head - The Redder The Better. A beet red bare bottom seems perfectly right for a young boy.

I have now read several moms state that they include the backs of the thighs when spanking. I need to contemplate this interesting aspect of spanking. How far down the back of the thighs should the spanking extend? A few inches below the bottom, or all the way down the backs of the thighs to the insides of the knees? Maybe a separate thread should be started to discuss this issue.
