This happened once each with my boys, after the first time I made sure they knew if they pulled this lazy stunt and wet themselves they would be put in the tub, bathed then spanked, they never did that again, one reason I noticed them going or trying to go befor they settled in to play a game.

But since you didn't give him a spanking warning the first time I think you did the right thing here.
