Samantha,

Andy is now 17 and has long become like another member of our family. I have loved him like another son for quite awhile, and he has done the same in looking at me like a second mom. He has called me "Mom" for awhile now, and called "Mommy" when he was younger. Even besides when I would spank him. My children also very much look at and love him like another sibling, and are very protective of him.

Of course in looking at and loving him like another son, I have spanked him quite often over the years. I have actually probably spanked him more often than his mother. Where Diane (his mother) is a wonderful mother, she isn't quite as strict as myself and her discipline hasn't been as consistent. But she has come a long ways from when I first met her.

And now, even though Andy is 17, he has always been a bit immature for his age. He still acts more like a boy a couple of years younger in a lot of respects, which is why he also still earns his share of spankings.

In how he stays overnight is his mother travels for work often, at a week or two at a time. And understandably she doesn't want to leave him alone during that time so he stays with me. Andy took over my son's old room. We had it redone for him years ago when we knew this was going to happen for awhile.
