It is wonderful you found this from Tessa and reposted it here, thank you. I do hope she and her family are well.

With me, I don't count the spanks, or go by a set time or by the color of the bottom or by how animated or how LOUD their vocal reactions are. I go by feel, instinct, it's something inside me that I know when it's time to go from my hand to my brush and then when it is time to stop.

I do have different lengths/intensities to my spankings, I have my ‘standard’ spanking then for what I deem as serious misbehaving I administer my serious spanking that is longer.

It is inevitable when giving a long, thorough spanking that we will leave some ‘marks’ and interesting colors. My hand leaves its own ‘marks’ my 'handprints', the ridging, the white lines in-between my fingers showing with the pink then red handprints, they get to be so many they eventually overlapped one another turning his nice round wonderful bottom, sit spots and upper thighs into a nice shade of red.

My brush will also leave its telltale marks. As I have said many times, anyone I spank comes off my lap with what could be described as either a shiny apple red or tomato red bottom and upper thighs and at times worse. Some may disagree with me here on this next part. In my years of experience of using the brush, marking (beyond a red bottom) is something that is going to happen when using a solid, wooden implement and giving a good, sound spanking. And like you've read on some of my posts, for those more serious spankings (spanking longer and harder), I am not apposed to blistering a bottom when called for.

My thoughts are when they have done something serious, and especially dangerous, those types of spankings are just needed sometimes. The extra marking will heal, but most importantly, the required message was sent.
