Hi Mark,

You have asked a difficult question. Well, I use my best gut feeling, but honestly, I am not easily satisfied with first real tears.

I think having my children fully naked for the spanking helps tremendously in judging when enough is enough. I can feel their reactions, muscles tensing with each and every swat of my brush. Their squirming, trying to fight me, and of course the state of their bottoms are main indicators. Then of course there is a crying and begging me to stop… or telling me TO STOP RIGHT NOW! Well, an angry outburst of emotion is a clear indication that spanking has to continue.

It differs of course. What has the child done? What is the child’s age? There is a standard spanking, a “next level spanking,” and of course a once in a lifetime spanking. With little ones just a short, hand spanking is more than enough, with late teenagers, leaving clear marks from the brush is where I usually finish their spanking. The gender, whether it is a boy or a girl, makes little to no difference to me. I guess it is a tad more embarrassing for girls though, since they are shy of their breasts, and boys have one less thing on display to worry about.

Also, there is a spanking, and there IS a spanking. I strongly believe that depending on how you manage yourself, and the implement, two spankings of the same length may differ. I meticulously spank in a way to ensure as much heat is applied as possible during the “time window” of a white bottom to crimson red bottom. Not to mention that at times I may include a portion of thighs into a spanking area, and it does bring many additional howls out of my children.

One thing is certain though. I have spanked boys and girls of all ages. Once over my lap, they have always cried their lungs out, and have been very sorry for what they had done. I guess, this is the most important thing in judging when to stop. A simple answer is, when the child is truly sorry for what they has done, and they has learned their lesson.

Ps; I spend a lot of times soothing and cuddling with my dear ones after the spanking. Feeling their trembling bodies in my embrace, and them whispering apologises through tears and snot into my chest is an affirmation of my barometer working well.
