Of course they are going to complain ! I don't bother timing spankings. I, like you, take my time, and smack at a slow to moderate pace, about once per second or longer, giving time for each smack to be felt before the next. I don't stop until the bottom is as red as a tomato, and until the recipient has gone from crying in anger and resistance to despair and submission. Remember, YOU are in charge, not your boys.
