Subject: Relax - it can't be as bad as my physics one...

Tathan just shrugged at the green weyrling’s next question, still wary of this girl who asked things of him. Telling someone things about you was like giving them a part of yourself – and you couldn’t get it back. “We were found by some riders on a sweep-ride, and then they brought me here.” He told her noncommittally. “Right now I just work in the kitchens, but I’d like to try healing.” Tath had been thinking about this change of study for a while. Healing was a useful skill – and he had never been opposed to helping other people.

“What about you?” The young man asked Nerilki tentatively. She couldn’t fault him for being curious, could she? “Why did you leave Southern Boll?” For Tath, Southern Boll held a lot of good memories – if he had the chance to live there, he wouldn’t pass it up. But was a dragon better than living there? Was a dragon a good thing to Impress? He still didn’t know how intelligent they were. The eyes of the dragon who had rescued him had been very expressive – unless the colours were just random. But no, they couldn’t be. Dragons looked quite intelligent…not fluttering about like fire-lizards, at any rate.
