M�att glared at his sister, even as she was using Venieth to speak. He could almost understand the reasoning behind her coming in and trying to separate him and Synthis, but he was still hurt that she could think he would be capable of doing such a thing as raping the other greenrider. But Ashertith�s gentle pressure on his mind made him stay quiet, in case he said something he would later regret. It was wise advice.

As I am reminded by Xiualith, I may not catch her. Ashertith said this with faint humour. And if you take offence at my words we shall be equal, for both I and my rider took offence at your actions. This time it was M�att who had to make Ashertith keep quiet. He didn�t want the brown offending anyone.

�Look�could we take this from the beginning, how it should be?� M�att asked when there was a lull in conversation. �Like, �Synthis, this is my sister Lily. Lily, this is Synthis. I haven�t seen you in a while, how have things been going?� Something like that?�
