It doesn't? Havinka's happy look immediately went crestfallen, as though a fantastic toy had just been taken away.

"Veverith says it doesn't work with you. I tried to say, 'Hi, I'm Havinka!'" Her little face screwed up in thought. "Why doesn't the mind-talking work with you? How can you talk to Veverith if the mind-talking doesn't work with you?"

Oh, definitely a fn one. However, she and Grean have been really rocky, so it's not really a big loss- Shah and mine will get some peace, if we can cart Grean away as well. It took Ith a moment to recall what the little one had truly said. Yes, she did say she loves browns. I remember, back when I was but a hatchling, she was so sad that I wasn't a brown. She kept asking Hthe why I wasn't a brown, and how coome girls couldn't Impress browns. she was depressed for days.

'What's she doing?'
Talking with one of the other weyrlings. And one of the green rider's has agreed to take her in for a while, to get her away from Grean.
'Good' Hythe's features smoothed as she bent over the shirt she was mending- Grean had torn them in a fight. She had worried about Grean and Havinka's constant fighting.
'And will Havinka need her things??'
Probably, but I think that C'lin, rider of brown Vverith, would get them. She's staying with one of his twin sisters. Ith hated lying to Hythe, but it was the only way to ensure that Havinka stayed safe, and away from the increasingly dangerous Grean.

((Is all part of new evil plot- Grean goes dangerous!! mwuahahah *coughcough*))
