Hi, I just hope the children who want to try it won't get stopped by their parents. Some parents are overly concerned that their children might get hurt. (That's why I talk to them and assure them there's no reason to worry if a child likes to go out barefoot.)

Great to hear your son made it through winter. With my children exceptions are rare, it depends a little on the mood, we had a number of family trips with the children all bundled up for winter and wiggly bare toes peeking out on the bottom, turning red as they played in the snow while we had it (it was mostly a dry winter though).

Together with the neighbours we've already done our job to brush winter gravel off the sidewalks around the houses so they're all pleasant and nice for barefoot strolls again.
