I remember an afternoon last year at the outdoor swimming pool, looking at the feet of the kids and how they move on the pavement outside the pool. I guess it's subtle but it seems like the feet of ours are indeed strongest, also their walk is more pleasant to look at. Unlike some kids who stomp or shuffle, they often run even if not in a hurry and they have a marvellous spring in their step all three.

Additionally they don't need encouragement to go out, they are certainly no couch potatos. They have a natural drive to move and we don't stop them. Maybe it helps that their feet aren't weighed down by shoes?
