Our kids are so looking forward to warm spring days when they can spend the whole day outside barefoot in shorts. It's still freezing cold though so they wear cardigans and long pants. As a christmas gift I have knit a pair of legwarmers for each in their favourite colours, so they can be warm and cozy and still barefoot. Their barefoot outdoor activities are now limited to a quick round around the garden now and then but inside the house they never wear anything on their feet.

Yes they do get out every day, in jackets, gloves and boots ... which they all happily slip off once they are back home.
