All three of my children are proud of the appearance of their feet! They know, if their face, hands and feet are always bare for everybody to see they better look good. So now at the end of summer they are nicely tanned, toenails clipped and filed when they need it, high pale arches and the bottom of their toes, pads and heels varies from slightly dusty such as when they walk in town or to school to a deeper black in the big city (it's actually fun walking behind them observing this transformation). They might get dirtier when they play where it's a bit muddy but then they wash it off before going inside anywhere. Bare feet are so easy to take care of, it only takes a minute and they are clean enough for home.
