We have observed in many places that fountains are very popular for children to play in with at least their bare feet, even when we don't have much time my kids can't resist and splash their toes in the water.

That's a lovely way to cool down in summer. When it gets colder those water fountains are usually switched off though.

In other news, my children have recently found a new game to play at home during rainy days ... trying to use various apps on their phones by operating the touchscreens with their toes! They're not that bad; though toes aren't as precise as fingers they manage quite well with some apps.

Meanwhile temperatures are gradually dropping, as could be expected in september, cool enough to wear a jacket or at least take one along, I'm back in closed shoes but all three children continue to go out happily barefoot to school or to town. I'm certainly supporting this, seeing how good it does them and how much fun they have, though if it gets too cold for any it would be time to get a new pair of shoes.
