We now have two pairs for each kid, they can be worn for a few days and they don't even need them every day, depending on where they go, also each has different colors so it's not such a terribly load of work, hehe.

Who knows where they go ... I hope to a family in need, to children that they actually fit, though I would agree with you, above 10 to 15°C anyone can go barefoot without discomfort and especially during the growth phase it's both more healthy and more fun. I already managed to convince a friend who has little children to let them go barefoot at home all year round (they used to wear non-slip socks before). On hot days my children managed to get some of their friends to play barefoot with them in the park or forest, I like that as they obviously enjoy it.
