Hi, Carol and kids ...

I go out in the snow for a minute just to feel it when the kids go out to play in the afternoon.
They are going out in portions of up to 20 minutes ... walking to school every day, in the afternoon busy with homework but also finding some time for outdoors barefoot silliness.
Today we also went to town together. There too it's in and out of shops so no terribly long time spent outside.
I might get them some minimalist winter footwear in case we go out for a longer time in the snow. While it's awesome and impressive how much they go barefoot in the frost with apparently no difficulty, having no shoes shouldn't limit the time spent outside and we might go on longer snow hikes later.
Just check your children's toetips to make sure there's no frost damage (such as peeling skin, it doesn't always hurt).
