Our trip into the city was a lovely afternoon out. First we walked up to the nearby train station, only a 10 minutes walk away me in my trusty sandals and my son and daughter in their bare feet.

We made it just in time! I noticed a few people glancing over at my children's feet but no comments were made. We arrived into the city and headed out the station. As we walked up the station stairs to exit I looked at my daughters soles, already very dirty with station grime.

We wandered around shopping before stopping for a coffee and a snack we did so in an area where there was a nice square and water fountain. I saw many children running around in the water and square barefoot. Sadly however I suppose most will be shod afterwards.
