Hi Sandra

Going barefoot with my children? Certainly, in the summer at home, in the garden, in the park, at the beach, lake or swimming pool ... in the city though, in shops, it seems like children can get away with it much more easily. As an adult I would feel oddly out of place in the same situations when my kids go barefoot without a worry.

By the way another activity I just love watching my kids doing is climbing trees. Always barefoot, using strong dexterous toes and fingers to hold themselves, I'd never be able to follow them up there ...

Though they love rustling in sun-warmed autumn leaves, they're still too cautious to go barefoot in snow. Though that might be a fun family activity after a good warming up ...

Susan
