Author: Still Can Hear The Music
Subject: Closing in on 50 years !

Half a century as you say. It really is amazing to me that anybody from G's is still around. It's been some kind of tough 49 years with AIDS, Ebola, monkeypox, covid. Not only did some of us make it through just every day assaults just because of who we are, where we go, and who we just happened to fall in love with, but as time turned to almost ignoring us, along came something else.

Then came the "alphabet movement". We were just starting to live normal lives, nobody cared, we didn't care and the crazies came and somehow pulled us into their insanity. Everything we struggled for is almost going back to the way it was.

But it's nice to come back to this site and get to listen to the oldies but greats. I can close my eyes since I'm not really dancing these days, and take a walk around the main house and down the path to the pool. I don't think a lot of people knew about that pool because there weren't many people using it whenever I'd go. The music takes me back to the bar and the dance floor and that old juke box. I still can't believe it's all gone and for so long.

I don't know who you are and I wonder if we ever met. We probably did if G's meant so much to you that you're giving it a website. Thank you for your work keeping it going. I'm glad I'm not the only one still around. Thanks for letting me know that too.
