Ding-Dong......, trick or treat!!!! Give us something good to eat!!!!! Here we are again, another year older, some say a little bit wiser!! All Hallows Eve is here upon us once again. Though it has been some years since we were all adolescents, we all still hold some reguard for what we North- Americans have turned October 31st. into. In some countries there is no such event as "trick-or-treat". In some countries people have never even tasted candy of any sort, ever! They are just glad for whatever they can find to eat, period. Don't get me wrong here, I'm no bleeding heart liberal do-gooder, but it is the truth. Now, as we are adults, we still get some kind of joy from not getting candy on Halloween, but to give it out to children. And to see just how happy they are when you drop that treat into their bag of loot. And remembering just how we felt back when we were children, running around at night,at night mind you, which alot of had to be in the house by dark, but to be let out looose in your neighborhood, at night, with all your friends, going door to door asking for a hand out, and getting candy!!! To most children, Halloween is the 2nd. most sacred/ precious day in a kids life. If you have any children, sit them down and tell them how lucky they are to live in country as great as ours, and to enjoy the time that they have now to do such things as trick-or-treat and hang around with their friends. Even if you don't have kids, maybe a nephew or neice, tell them. Some people say that it is a pagan holiday to worship everything dark and evil. I think that they just don't like to have fun in life, they are stuck up, up tight, crusty old farts! Whatever the case may be in all of your peoples matters, Have fun, stay warm, and for Gods sakes, be carefull out their peoples!!! And now I must bid you, Good Day to you all! Dr. Greenthumb.
