After being raised by a strict domineering mother who spanked me through my teens I went far away to college. I lived in a dorm and had total freedom my freshman year. I took advantage of it too. I went out to a lot of parties, drank beer and even had sex in my dorm room.

Then for some reason I decided to transfer to the college in my hometown and move back in with mom. I just assumed because I was now an adult my mom would no longer be strict or spank me. Although looking back in retrospect, I wonder if deep down I thought I needed strictness back in my life?

I was genuinely surprised but my mom didn't change at all. It was like I never left. She was still very strict and bossy, made me do my homework, didn't let me go out at night and yes she still spanked me. I was a small 110pound weakling so it didn't even seem awkward, at least physically. Mentally I was very aware that it wasn't normal for a 19 year old to be spanked by mommy. This bothered me very much, especially at first. One thing I heard a lot of was "if you live under my roof, you follow my rules". I never heard that as a kid or teen but as a young adult I was told that repeatedly.
