Subject: Gazelle works!

Dear all,

I am once again a happy PCC user. After many tries, the gazelle worked with the colour classic and I do not know why.

There are some observations made from this experience.

1/. L2 cache in Gazelle PPC without voltage regulator will not work, it will boot, but then goes to the screen with a smiling Mac and freeze there.

2/. The monitor with the VGA mod. it worked well with 6300/100 and only when your powersupply is shared by 2 computers or more that it will have a darker line(bar) moving up the screen. With the 6500/300, this happens even with the PCC alone, and the whole screen have problem, it has these "noise like" effect, like when there is interference or something. the screen needs to be turned on very bright to make this less visible.

3/. 6500/300 can use 6400/180 RAM's and viser versa

4/. my 6500/300 will take some time to boot, when press the power key, the powersupply make a sound, chimes, hard disk spin for 1sec, does nothing for 30 seconds, then LED on, screen on, and HDD continues to spin. system loads as normal from here. This also happened to another user, I believe...

just wanted to let you all know....:)

cheers
