Contraty to Stuart I bought G3 CPU separately from LB and therefore I didn't have heatsink. So I bought one (with quiet fan) from Maplin (Apus). It was surprisingly very quiet. Plus the ATX PSU I bought from is also quiet (with some kind of quiet fan).

Actually all sorts of quiet fans and PC equipment could be bought here).

A little warning though - PC heatsinks could not be attached to the G3 ZIF straight away - G3 typically siitting a bit higher than Intel CPUs. Therefore modification to mounting lever/arm is needed (I found that older 486 CPU heatsinks can be attached without modification but they are generally quite noisy).

Stuart - what are the dimensions of your MATX PSU? And how powerful it is?

Alex
