Anyhow - I have already working Sharp 8.4" LCD (taken from Hitachi laptop) with Digital View ACG-1024 controller.

I'm using invertor module that was used with this LCD (but in any case Digital View is selling invertors as well).

As for backlight panel - you don't need separate one in case your LCD will be active matrix or TFT type. Passives do not use backlighting at all (afaik).

If you need to know details then don't hesitate to ask - preferbly via this forum.

I didn't make any photos yet because my LCD upgrade is a mainly a part of Taco upgrade. And although the latter is finished, there still some cosmetic things to be done. But watch this space as there will be plenty if information soon.
