Stuart: I have checked the motherboard and it is indeed a 575 and not the old CC mb. The 575 has the 1 bank of RAM and 2 VRAM banks but I don't know what size they are but they are identical and have Apple printed on them. The Appple number is 02-820-0605-R34. They each have 4 chips per SIMM and so they may either be 128K's or 256K's. Any way to tell the difference? Would the 256K VRAM set not turn on my video or would only 512K only do the trick based on the change in my resolution?
Dr Webster: Thanks for your feedback but I have already visited that page and it recommended that I cut pin 20. Oddly enough I could not find any J78 or J79 anywhere on the board and I looked with a fine tooth comb.
Thanks guys. What a great thing for you guys to be doing helping me when there's propably lots of Christmas shopping that you may still have to do.
