With a scsi DVD, 7200 rpm disk, LCD, and a 6500 board stacked with upgrades and demanding PCI cards, even the 160W 6360 power supply is overwhelmed. For my purposes, rather than add yet another supplimentary power supply, I'd rather attempt a single 1U ATX and save some space.

It's also for the peace of mind- It's irritating to add an upgrade and watch your system crash and reboot after running out of power. I want to be able to add just about anything without worrying about power useage.
