Subject: Colour Fringing

Hi!

I came across a new problem today, and wonder what the solution is.

Doing a 575/VGA conversion on a CC, I ended up with really bad barrel distortion and an analogue board that seemed not to want to be adjusted.

I switched analogue boards for one that is known good, which produces a nice screen in a Mystic with VGA.

The result was AWFUL, with terrible colour fringing. Clearly, analogue boards are set up for specific CRTs, and mixing messes up the matching.

So, is the correcting of colour fringing a physical process on the CRT, or an electronic process on the analogue board?

TIA,

Stuart
