I just got my first DOA CC. It had lovely "N/G" written all over the case with indelible marker. Anyway, it was in the trash with a busticated keyboard, so I grabbed it. As soon as I got to power and a cable, I plugged it in but- nothing. The back cover was loose, so I fiddled with the board, then fiddled a bit more, finally deciding to remove the board for inspection of smoke traces or whatever. When the board was replaced the power was inadvertantly on. Presto. Working machine. I know that is probably a horrible thing to do to a computer and I apologize for my first writing here being of that sort, but the computer came on, without a keyboard, when the board was inserted and the box was energized. So, I took it the rest of the way home, and I'm waiting for a 575 board. And I decided to leave the lovely writing on the case, by the way.
