If you use an ATX PSU, you will have to bypass the safty feature of it. I waits for a "power good" signal from the motherboard. I can look into it, but I am not sure offhand which wires i grounded to do this. You have to use a resistor where you do the "grounding" the PSU calibrates itself based on the resistance on this line. It's really quite wierd. I had to do this to make the monitor of one of those all-in-one NEC READY PC's work without the "computer" as a standalone monitor. (I blew it up in a storm.) Http://www.power-on.com is a good place to find tiny PSU's they have several small flex-atx PSU's (make sure you get one that has the +5v power)
