Yes that hard drive replacement is a real pain! Until recently I just used an external drive, and I had the (external) case openned up because I wanted to try out several different HD's on the CC (don't even ask why).

Anyway, you don't have to remove the analog board completely, just slide it out a little ways (carefully) until the hard drive will slide out past it. One of the main wires to the analog board (which I don't know the name of)is held in place with a little rubber clamp. You have to undo that rubber clamp to slide the analog board, then re-attach it when you're finished.
