Subject: 6500 Power supply 3.3v?

I have a PowerCC with a 6200 logic board already, I am collecting the necessary parts now to make a 6500/225 PCC. Can I use this 6500 power supply as my extra power, and use it for the 3.3v, instead of usin a regulator? I got it off ebay for $5, and I'd really like to be able to use it for the 3.3v. The idea, is to use the CC's stock power ONLY to power the tube. I want to use a relay to trun on the 6500 power from the HDD power connector like I have seen, and then plug this power supply straight into the 630 connector just as it was in the 6500. (This is all in preparation for a G3 upgrade. I am also replacing the floppy with a laptop CD, and using a laptop Hard drive. Floppy will be USB external.)
