I got an error message when I tried that NBCI link but it seems to be working now.

The drivers at the Mac Driver Museum and Asante's site are the same version (5.6.1).

__Plugging in the Ethernet cable into the card before installing doesn't do anything different in my case.

__Trying a different System Software�@7.1 instead of 7.5.3:

after installing 7.1 I opened the "Network" Control Panel and it showed "LocalTalk Built-In" as the only selectable option. I then tried installing the Asante Drivers but I got the same "CANNOT detect any Asante adapter" message.

(side note: wonder how far this card will fly if I threw it like a frisbee...)

__Did the card work before installing into Mystic?

I'm not sure it was working before, but have no way of readily finding out. I don't have another working good card (or any other card for that matter). I have another Color Classic on it's way but hasn't arrived yet. I'll try to install the card into that once it arrives.

Do I have to reverse the screen mod before reinstalling the original Color Classic Motherboard? (BTW, I did the VGA mod for this 'puter)

Considering buying an Apple Ethernet Comm Slot card on eBay at the moment.
