Author: for wanting to dance with own age
Subject: Ideally, there would be age categories like 30-40, 40-50, 50+, but there's not, so I don't fault older dancers
In reply to: OneMediocre 's message, "Advanced dancers do not get to qualify for Worlds, so it really isn't much of a cop out. As a 30 year old, it was difficult to keep up with the younger 22+Os.I didn't dance in Advanced but I can applaud them for wanting to continue to compete and have a chance at a good placement." on 10:00:43 12/02/24 Mon

  • It absolutely is. By all the mediocre dancers deciding to dance in advanced adults, there aren’t as many world qualifying spots in senior ladies. -- Ridiculous, 10:31:51 12/04/24 Wed
  • This is silly. There was only 1 fewer WQ spot for senior ladies this year by the numbers. (2 fewer total because only 1 WMH competed.) -- No name, 12:39:40 12/04/24 Wed
  • Those dancing in Advanced Adults are NOT mediocre. A lot of those returning were WQ 10+ years ago and have been out of the game a while.. -- You're ridiculous, 13:20:06 12/04/24 Wed
  • Wow! That’s rude. So these “mediocre” dancers are just there to prop up the numbers so more mediocre senior ladies can go to worlds? I can’t blame someone in their 30s for not wanting to dance with 22 year olds or moms with jobs who don’t care about world qualifying for wanting to have a competition without as high of stakes. Ideally CLRG would extend the age groups but this is a good alternative for dancers who want to compete against their peers vs not recalling in senior ladies (NT) -- No name, 12:35:22 12/05/24 Thu
