I know this issue is frustrating and expensive, but do stay calm. And make sure you reassure him that he is not weird or broken or anything, that its just an issue many boys eventually outgrow.

HOWEVER you need to make clear, honey, I know you don't like it, but you bedwet. Your body does not process fluid properly, so you HAVE TO wear your pullup or Goodnite. I cannot afford to keep ruining mattresses and sheets.

For one thing I would make him put his own sheets in the laundry and his clothes if he does take off the pullup and mess up the bed, and obviously probably some form of consequence/discipline for taking it off, not for wetting itself.

BUT , YES I would explain to him in a sweet loving voice, that he will have to be put in diapers, changed by mom, for bedtime until further notice when you can reassess some time later.

I have experience with bedwetting with my son and have helped advise many a mother from my church and friends group on the topic.
