For us diapers are just much more convenient. Our daughter suffers from incontinence due to nerve damage she got from a riding accident a few years back. She has basically no control over her bladder. It's a bit better with her bowels, but messy accidents still happen regularly. She also has very little control over her legs. With crutches she can walk short distances, but it's a struggle and she tires quickly. She couldn't put on a pull-up on her own, at least not without a major struggle. So if she needs our help anyway, we might as well use diapers that offer much more protection and easier to change.
