Thanks for the feedback, Dr Perry. I understand what you mean about a narrow neck so the anus can comfortably close around it but still have enough bulk in the rectum to prevent expulsion without manually pulling it out. Most of the metal plugs seem to have that feature, being the narrow neck. Actually, the ones with costume jewelry in the base can be pretty cute too. I understand that the plug is going to be worn mostly inside the diaper, but when the diapers removed, it's nice to see something pretty nestled between the cheeks.

You commented on the option of permanent plugging. That got me thinking and I wanted to ask if you would recommend switching from a solid plug like the one discussed above to a hollow plug for when the child is supposed to fill his or her diaper. Or would you just recommend removing the conventional solid plug when it's time for the child to mess? Or, as I recall you also mentioned Botox in one of your other posts, would you as a medical professional recommend Botox injections around the anus so that when the plug is removed, the child messes in the diaper uncontrollably? I guess I'm asking of the three options, which would you recommend most?
