Yes, you are right. We put the kids in diapers every night, but they only must wear them 24/7 when they are being punished for something. We are doing this for a couple of years now and the kids are used to it. They pretty much go along with it at this point, they know that they only will make things worse for themselves if they resist. Our oldest daughter put up a bit of a fight at the beginning, taking the diaper off as soon as we have left the room. So for a while we made her sleep with my husband and me. It took a couple of harsh spankings and three full weeks of 24/7 diapers to finally cure her of that behavior. The worst the others did was complain about it, but then my son was still in diapers at night anyway and my other daughter wasn’t out of them for that long. My step-son also didn’t put up much of a fight, according to his mother.

Yes, my daughter had her first period last autumn. A diaper will take care of that just as well as a pad does, we just change her more often then usual if it happens while she earned herself a day in diapers. As a woman, it’s not a big deal to me, but my husband gets a bit squeamish when it happens, and rather has me deal with it. We generally share diaper changing duty though. Right now her pubic hair is still pretty thin, so we don’t do anything with it yet. My step-son has his shaven off every time he has to spend a day in diapers. He rarely uses his night-time diapers at all and if he does he only wets them, so him having pubic isn’t a big problem as long as we make sure he properly washes himself. It’s different when he wears them during the day and we will have to deal with a messy diaper sooner or later. Pubic hair would make it so much worse, so he either has to shave it off himself or we do it, if we are in a hurry.
