We are not going out of our way to embarrass our children in public, but we will also not change our plans, because one of them got into trouble. In my experience most random people will not notice a diaper bulge unless the diaper is very thick, or the pants are very tight. And even if they do, they will just assume they are for some sort of medical condition and move on. As far as I can remember, the only question from and adult I ever got, was from another mom. She was asking what kind of diaper we were using, because she was looking for some to use with her bed-wetting son. Besides that, the only comments or questions I can remember were from young children at the playground. When our younger kids are having fun romping around on the playground with their friends, they might forget that they are wearing diapers for a moment and let them show. That has led to some questions when other children noticed. I usually just say that some kids need diapers a little longer than others and let them come to their own conclusions.
