I read in another forum about success using enemas with bedwetting.
One post mentioned like a rote statement said everytime the enema is giving and the child must repeat it.
Ii believe the parent was using a bulb syringe and giving 3 to 4 squeezes of soapy water into the child as they repeated the rote statement.
The statement was something like
“Everytime
I wet my bed
I will get
an enema”
The parent says, “everytime” repeated by the child and so forth.
When the statement “an enema” is said the parent says “a what” and the child says a little louder, “an enema” and that is when the bulb is squeezed and the soapy water goes into the child. As the bulb is dipped back into the soapy water to refill, the rote statement starts over so by the time it gets to “an enema” the tip is already inside the child ready to squeeze. The rote memory of this statement and the connection of the wetbed and enema will help the child to stop bedwetting is what the forum said. One parent did give a report and said it was a success. Will not hurt to try.
